Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti: Lessons in Truth, Simplicity, and Purposeful Work
By Er. Anuj Kumar, Founder & CEO, WebSofto Technologies
Every year on 2nd October, India pauses to remember Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the man the nation lovingly calls Bapu. Today, on Gandhi Jayanti, all of us at WebSofto Technologies bow in respect to the Father of the Nation and wish you and your family a very happy and meaningful Gandhi Jayanti.
Why Gandhi Still Matters
Gandhi's life was built on a few simple ideas: truth (satya), non-violence (ahimsa), self-reliance
(swadeshi), and service to others. More than seven decades after his passing, these ideas remain relevant, not only for a nation, but for every person and every business.
As a software engineer and entrepreneur, I find that these values map surprisingly well onto how we should work today.
1. Truth in business. In digital marketing, it is tempting to promise overnight results, fake numbers, or shortcuts. Gandhi's insistence on truth reminds us that trust is the only lasting asset. At WebSofto, we believe in honest reporting, realistic promises, and results our clients can verify.
2. Self-reliance and local strength. The swadeshi spirit was about empowering local people and local enterprise. Today, a small shop in a remote town or a hotel in a hill district can reach customers across India through a website, a Google Business profile, or a social media page. Digital tools are the modern spinning wheel: simple, accessible, and powerful when used with purpose.
3. Service before profit. Gandhi measured success by how many lives were uplifted. Our own mission is to connect Northeast India with the rest of the country through digital marketing services, helping local businesspeople be seen, trusted, and chosen. When our clients grow, we grow.
4. Be the change. Gandhi did not wait for the world to change first. He started with himself. Whether you are a founder, a freelancer, a student, or an employee, real progress begins with your own daily actions, such as learning a new skill, treating customers fairly, or helping a colleague.
Our Pledge on This Gandhi Jayanti
On this day, we at WebSofto Technologies renew our commitment to:
- Work with honesty and transparency in every project
- Support small businesses and entrepreneurs across India, especially from the Northeast
- Use technology to include people, not leave them behind
- Build a workplace and a community rooted in respect, simplicity, and service
A Message to Our Clients, Partners, and Well-Wishers
Thank you for trusting us and walking with us. Your faith is what keeps our vision alive: to support digital services and promote businesspeople not just in India, but across the world.
As we remember Bapu today, let us take one small step toward a better, more honest, and more united India. Let us spread kindness, choose truth, and keep building with purpose.
Happy Gandhi Jayanti to you and your loved ones!
Jai Hind. 🇮🇳
